Etude 1
I chose to research a church bell sound and people’s behavior while this sound is played, I mean that when I listen to this sound I feel that people come together. To illustrate my feeling/emotions, i watched the movie ‘ The Name of the Rose’ which helped me to understand the behavior of the people before and after this sound by them gathering together .
Briefly about this movie: in 1st situation people was in another places and after bell sound they gathered in the church prayer breakfast. In second situation two people in one place accidentally made a fire, so rang the bell and came full of people to put out the fire. 3rd situation came a pope and after the bell sound peple gathering to discuss with the pope. In 4th situation befor a sound people was in the trial in church and after a sound they came out to personify the people sentenced.
I want to show that when people are parted, they are represented as a empty group, I mean that agroup with elements with their own. I show this element by the lines, volume and shading. When the people are come together I represented them as a control group, i mean all this element ( line, volume and shading) is connecting and produce sort of some 3D shape. Those shapes are different because those elements connecting in the different situations, like a bell that is the media to gather people who can create a different atmosphere by various reasons. In my presentation you can see that after each page where is I explain scean of the movie. Those shapes and elements are intuitives and not accured, it is only begging of my idea.
My second idea, i decided to illustrate a gathering of the people by the hair(you can see that in the next pages after represention of the movie). In 1st scean of the movie People that were in another placed before the sound i ullustrated them by the unbound hair, when they come together it is bounded hair. Later i thoght to reseach a point intersection of hair(zoom), and this way i want to show density of points, in this case it is a people. Bounded hair have a less density of point then a unbounded hair.. and in this way a wanted to show another situation of hair( wet hair, dry hair…).
